The Inaugural Bishop Ernest McNear Faith Leaders Lecture

A lecture for clergy and faith leaders focused on how faith leaders can use their influence in addressing HIV and health and wellness with their congregants. The event will be held in the Grant Room on the 1st floor, breakfast will be served. Seating is limited and requires a ticketed confirmation for attendance, one ticket per attendee. Our speaker for this inaugural event will be Rev. Dr. Ernest McNear. Bishop Ernest McNear has committed his life to the ministry and healing of people living with HIV/AIDS. This lecture series in his name seeks to honor his longtime service to this work. Bishop McNear will kick off this new lecture series in his name by presenting the 2018 lecture. Each year different guest speakers will present on topics related to HIV/AIDS, public health, spirituality, healing, and the responsibility of faith communities in the ministry of holistic health, acceptance, and embrace.

Bishop Ernest McNear is the pastor and founder of True Gospel Tabernacle, founded in 1985. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Geneva College at CUTS (Center for Urban Theological Studies) (B.S.), Lutheran Theological Seminary (M.Div), and Regent University (D.Min). Bishop McNear founded the Philadelphia Freedom from AIDS Campaign; he also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors at Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers, is founder of Kingdom Care Reentry Network (KCRN), and chairman of the Faith Leaders Network of Philadelphia FIGHT.
